The French Trio SLIFT: Featuring New Material from Fantasia

The French trio SLIFT will be performing material from their upcoming album Fantasia, out June 5, 2026 via Sub Pop.

Across every previous release, SLIFT—brothers Jean and Rémi Fossat, alongside drummer Canek Flores (a friend since high school)—has treated each album as a fantasia: a composite of genres and forms that lets the band improvise, jam on themes, and spiral them together into space.

With their fourth album, SLIFT plays with intentional irony. Titled Fantasia “without actually being one,” the record is their leanest and most direct—an international tale of upheaval and perseverance, delivered by a band pressing forward without wasting a second.

What to Expect

• New material from Fantasia, released June 5, 2026 via Sub Pop
• SLIFT’s evolution from genre-composite “fantasias” into a tighter, more direct statement
• A pointed saga about overcoming international upheaval
• A performance that’s driven by message over excess, with the band preparing for a battle they believe we can still win

SLIFT didn’t want to lose the message by playing too much—so they’re preparing for the fight ahead, with focus and urgency.
