Camille – The Sound of Milk Tour

“A lullaby is the art of rocking our fears, not to put us to sleep but to awaken us.” — Camille

Between earth and sky

Between earth and sky, there is Camille.

For more than twenty years, the French artist has carved out a unique path in contemporary music. A singer-songwriter, composer, performer, and vocal explorer, Camille has created a singular body of work in which the voice becomes living matter: breath, body, rhythm, vibration.

A distinctive musical path

Self-taught and free from any formal school or tradition, she first made a major impact in 2005 with Le Fil (2005), a now cult album built around a continuous B drone note. Through it, she transformed the conventions of French chanson with inventive songwriting and an instinctive approach to singing.

She followed with Music Hole (2008), Ilo Veyou (2011), and OUÏ (2017), projects blending vocal polyphonies, body percussion, French chanson, folk, jazz, experimental pop, and the sounds of the living world. On stage, her concerts become fully immersive sensory experiences, somewhere between trance and celebration.

Camille in cinema

Alongside her music career, Camille has also distinguished herself in cinema. After lending her voice to the animated film Ratatouille (Disney), she notably composed music for The Little Prince alongside Hans Zimmer. More recently, she composed music for Emilia Pérez by Jacques Audiard. The soundtrack, co-written with her partner Clément Ducol, received numerous international awards including a Golden Globe, a César, and an Oscar.

The Sound Of Milk

Nine years after OUÏ, Camille announces her highly anticipated new album: The Sound Of Milk (scheduled for release this fall).

Conceived as a triptych and recorded over more than 15 years—the age of her eldest son—the project unfolds across three chapters: Birth, Childhood, and Adolescence. Through them, Camille explores the connections between motherhood, transmission, and creation. From intimate sonic diaries recorded within family life to luminous, orchestrated pop, the album celebrates joy as a vital force in troubled times and questions what we pass on to future generations.

First single: “La Terre”

The first single from the upcoming album, La Terre, will be released on March 24, accompanied by a music video co-directed by Camille and filmed with her family near her home.

With this song, Camille reminds us of our fundamental connection to living beings and to the planet that shelters us. Balancing poetry and lucidity, she imagines what existence would be without Earth—and reaffirms the urgent need to take care of it.
