STEVE 'N' SEAGULLS — The Dark Side of the Moo Part II

It could have been a cold winter day or a warm summer night in Finland—around the year 2010. Someone had the idea to combine bluegrass, Finnish folk, and rock/metal music. The result was—and has since become—Steve'n'Seagulls.

The band you didn’t know you missed, but you do know you want to hear again. Hailing from Finland in Northern Europe, this jolly bunch is riding harder and faster than ever.

From live videos to a global takeover

To put it short: in 2014, the band filmed three live music videos back at the farm. The second one—their new and fresh take on AC/DC classic “Thunderstruck”—took the internet by storm. Suddenly, this flock of seagulls found themselves touring around the world, recording an album, and pushing even harder.

A growing catalog of studio albums

Since 2014, Steve'n'Seagulls have recorded four studio albums. Their debut album, Farm Machine (2015), took the band on the road for 170 shows in Europe and North America. They rocked and made audiences smile—from small clubs to some of the biggest festivals in Europe.

The Dark Side of the Moo (Part II)

In 2025, the sun will lay its rays on the long-awaited fifth Steve 'n' Seagulls album: The Dark Side of the Moo. Recorded and produced with the same crew as the previous one, Steve 'n' Seagulls have again found and torn down the limits of progressive bluegrass and newgrass.

The album brings together elements from genres that are hard to imagine together—yet they meet and shake hands like old friends. Steve 'n' Seagulls' originals and some re-arranged classics form yet another interesting musical soup, ready to be served on their The Dark Side of the Moo tour around Europe in 2025.
